Chapter : 09
The Rich Young Master’s Ex-Girlfriend (9)
“Xiao Guo, did you remember everything I told you?”
Tang Guo sat lazily in the comfortable VIP van, with a dedicated makeup artist touching up her face and a hairstylist working on her hair.
The woman speaking to her was her agent, You Yu, in her mid-thirties.
A top-tier VIP van, a gold-star agent, elite makeup artists, stylists, and hairstylistsāall now at her side, along with two assistants to handle miscellaneous tasks.
Making such a high-profile appearance at the semi-finals venue was bound to draw attention.
Thanks to Leng Rui’s backing, she could skip the auditions and go straight to the semi-finals. In reality, there were quite a few people like her.
But not many made such a grand entrance at the semi-finals venue.
“Who’s in that van? Could it be some big star here as a guest judge?”
Outside the semi-finals venue, a crowd had already gathered, and Tang Guo’s luxury van quickly became the center of attention.
“I haven’t heard of anyone coming.”
“Hey, look over thereāthere’s another VIP van.”
“Could there really be some surprise guest?”
Just then, Tang Guo stepped out of the van. Catching the chatter around her, she glanced sideways in a certain direction.
Coincidentally, the door of that other van opened as well, and Leng Ziyue carefully helped a beautiful woman step out. The doting look on his face was as if he were holding a precious treasure.
“Wow, she’s so pretty! She’s not a singer, is she? I don’t think I’ve seen her before.”
That compliment wasn’t directed at Tang Guo, but at Lu Qi.
Lu Qi was indeed stunningāthe kind of woman who instantly caught everyone’s eye in a crowd.
“Hey, she’s wearing a number tag,” a sharp-eyed girl exclaimed. “Is she here for the semi-finals too?”
Soon, a few outgoing girls ran over to Lu Qi. Surprisingly, Lu Qi was warm and approachable, quickly bonding with them. The girls seemed innocent enough and showed no jealousy toward Lu Qi for having her own assistant and VIP van, or even a handsome boyfriend like Leng Ziyue by her side.
In fact, after hearing Lu Qi hum a few lines, they were utterly awestruck and instantly became her little fans.
Tang Guo sat on a chair, lazily propping her chin up, watching Lu Qi navigate the crowd with ease, occasionally blinking her pretty eyes.
“That’s Lu Qi, the heiress of the Lu family. She just returned from studying abroad. Before she left, she was already a prodigy in the music programāyour biggest competitor in this competition,” You Yu analyzed calmly. “The Lu family also has plenty of connections in this industry. Even though you’re rivals, if there’s no need, it’s best not to clash with her.”
She had noticed Tang Guo’s strange expression earlier, so she gave a word of caution.
No sooner had she warned her thanābefore Tang Guo could even respondāLu Qi bid farewell to the girls and walked toward Tang Guo.
Leng Ziyue, accompanying her, looked tense and seemed to be sweating nervously.
Lu Qi stopped in front of Tang Guo and looked down at her. She glanced at her watch, parted her red lips, and said, “Miss Tang, we have about twenty minutes. Let’s talk alone.”
“Sure,” Tang Guo tilted her head up, not bothering to stand from her chair or move anywhere. Then she added, “But… who are you?”
Lu Qi frowned slightly. “Miss Tang, you should know who I am.”
