After tidying themselves up, Yun Shu pulled Yan Meili along and went to the neighborhood committee office with Auntie Zhang.

After weighing it over, she took a glance at the crowd still enjoying the spectacle, gritted her teeth, and went to report it to the public security.
Whether it was just her imagination or not, she felt like the girl Yun Shu had somehow changed.
After Auntie Zhang left, Yun Shu asked Yan Meili to fetch some paper and a pen.
Yan Meili wanted to ask what she was up to, but the words died on her lips. “Will you be alright here by yourself?”
“I’ll be fine. Just go and come back quickly, stepmom.”
Yun Shu adjusted the veil covering her head and shifted her steps into the shade of a tree.
In just a matter of minutes, Yan Meili returned with the paper and pen.
The public security bureau was very close to the neighborhood committee office, and Auntie Zhang arrived shortly after with the public security officers.
Seeing this, the onlookers all looked bewildered. “Comrade officer, we’re just reading a public notice. We didn’t do anything wrong!”
“Someone reported that there’s trouble being stirred up here. What exactly is going on?”
The officer stared sternly at everyone. His colleague gave him a nudge, gesturing for him to look at the bulletin board.
The officer’s expression changed instantly. “This… who wrote this?”
“How obscene.”
“I would like to know who wrote it as well.”
Yun Shu walked forward with Yan Meili. “Comrade officer, someone forged my handwriting to write these letters, falsely accusing me of having an affair with Duan Jianguo from the art troupe.”
“Do you have evidence to prove that?” The officer cleared his throat and looked at Yun Shu as he asked.
At this moment, someone in the crowd spoke up, “Who doesn’t know you have a thing with Troupe Leader Duan? If you didn’t write those letters, who would be bored enough to write such obscene words just to frame you?”
Yun Shu turned her gaze toward the speaker, a plain-looking woman. Sensing Yun Shu’s stare, the woman shifted her gaze away as if she had a guilty conscience.
Understanding the situation, Yun Shu withdrew her gaze, signaled Yan Meili to hand her the paper and pen, and directly wrote a paragraph on it before handing it over to the officer.
The officer took it and compared it with the bulletin board, and the handwriting was visibly completely different.
Although the font on the bulletin board was smooth and elegant, the handwriting Yun Shu just produced was sharp and forceful, pressing deep into the paper, exuding a free-spirited and crisp vigor.

Her words were not just an assignment of liability for the rumor-monger, but also a stern warning to everyone present.
Standing to the side, Yan Meili looked at Yun Shu with clear surprise in her eyes.
This girl had become much calmer than before when facing trouble, and she no longer chose extreme ways to handle things.
When she first came, she had been terrified that Yun Shu would admit to it in public.
Fortunately, her worries were all for nothing.
“Oh my goodness, whichever wicked soul did this is truly malicious! Comrade officers, you must catch this incredibly rotten creature.”
Seeing that the handwriting indeed wasn’t Yun Shu’s, Auntie Zhang slapped her thigh and began to speak up for her.

The crowd looked at one another, and soon someone spoke up, “It absolutely should be pursued to the end. The person who did this is too wicked.”

“Then who could be so wicked to forge Miss Yun’s handwriting and write such obscene words?”

The woman who had previously claimed Yun Shu had a thing with Duan Jianguo visibly took a few steps back upon seeing this.
The public security officers also expressed that they would catch the culprit and proceeded to question the onlookers one by one.
