Synopsis Raised by My Stepmother to Believe I Wasn’t Cute, Until I Was Doted On By the Duke’s Son

Count Muzel lost his beloved first wife far too soon, leaving him with their three-year-old daughter, Sheryl. A year later, he remarried the young Lady Linaria Dohén, a baron’s daughter, for the sole purpose of producing a male heir.
Every day, Sheryl was told by her stepmother, “You truly are an unattractive child.” The Count, for his part, avoided her, unable to bear looking at a daughter who was the spitting image of his late wife.
Reasoning to the Count that, “Since she is so unattractive, she must be flawless in all other respects,” her stepmother rigorously trained Sheryl, molding her into a perfect lady by the age of seventeen. With the belief that she was unattractive etched into her very soul, Sheryl was told something by her stepmother on the day of her first ball.
“I shall grant you a magic spell, just for today. In return, you must find yourself a husband.”
After being dressed for the occasion by her stepmother, Sheryl went to the ball. But what awaited her there was a marriage proposal, right out of the blue.
